When people think of BNI in my experience they tend to think of small business transactions as referrals. Four months ago a guest visited our champter after breakfast we decided that we might have similar clients. We decided that we should meet outside the meeting for a one to one. He worked as a consultant for the translation industry with clients all over the world, when we compared that to our Foreign exchange clients there where many similarities.
Having never worked for the Translation industry he was able to tell us lots about how the industry worked and what might set us apart from our competition. After three months we are now the sole payments provider of a very large Translation company handling around £3,000,000 worth of turnover and expect this to grow greatly in January.
Myself and the visitor are still working together to the benefit of both our companies
